I received this item as advertised. The canister and applicator look fine upon inspection. However, since my pool is now covered for the season, I won't be able to use it to detect our leak until we open the pool in the spring. I wanted to grab this to have ready. I will try to remember to update my review once I can use it.

This pool leak detector is a great investment for peace of mind! I tested it thoroughly, and thankfully, no leaks were found, which was a relief. The die is decent and dark enough to be seen even tough its blue, but the applicator sucks. The last kit i had had a very long strawlike tip to apply it precisely. With this kit, the serynge is so short i had to get in the pool to apply the dye.
