I am not a rock climber but I paint rocks so I thought these might help in cleaning the dirt off them to prepare for painting. The real boar bristles are very dense and the handles are real wood, they are quality brushes. The solid handles are slightly curved to fit perfectly and comfortably in your hand. There are two sizes for a broader or smaller, more detailed area to use them on. There is also a hole in the bottom of the handle for hanging. You can use these for so many things and you will not be disappointed, they are well made.

This is an absolutely outstanding brush to use for cleaning leather seats in a car. The best I've ever used.

This was useful on our last camping trip. I was able to clean off cracks and crevices really well with it. My husband will use it for gold prospecting (he digs down to the bedrock and sweeps everything completely clean). The bristles thickly packed and did not deform like an old toothbrush.

These are nice brushes. The handles are perfectly smooth and nicely finished. The brush head uses densely packed, moderately stiff bristles which gives the brush a nice firm action without any sense of abrasiveness. My use case is not as a climber. I needed something to clean pottery that has a moderately abrasive finish on it. Cleaning the pottery with a cloth just leaves bits of cloth all over it. This brush, on the other hand, works well.If both brushes had been of equal quality this would be a five-star product. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The larger brush is perfect. The smaller brush has bristles of different lengths that were cut unevenly. And there is a section where it appears bristles are missing. The smaller brush still works but it looks like a reject compared to the larger one.I suspect the poorer quality smaller brush is a fluke so I am still recommending this brush set and giving it four stars. The larger brush exceeded my expectations even if the smaller one didn't quite meet them.

The description says one brush, but there were two in the box I received -- one is slightly shorter than the other, but they're both roughly the same 9" size, give or take.The bristles seem stiff and the brushes are solid.The wood handles feel good in your hand and are long enough that you're not going to be banging your knuckles, but they're a bit too wide to fit in the little strap on my chalk bag, so I drilled a hole and ran a bit of paracord through so I could attach it to a harness loop with a carabiner.

I ordered 7 of these for climbing friends. 6/7 were great but the 7th was clearly used. Scuff marks on the handle and chalk pouring out of the brush when feathered. Amazon needs to be better at identifying used product and not reselling them for full price.
