Tried to install on 03 Subaru Outback 2.5L. Correct Shape but to short to properly clear the Power Steering Pulley. Did not have the extra protective sleeve the OEM had . Returned and purchased OEM. Good customer service helping me with return.

My old coolant hose busted so I got this hose. Gates are pretty well known brand.Had to cut about half inch on each end to make it fit perfect. Nothing to complain about.

Great quality for small price $12. Hose is just 1 inch shy of the original length. Still good, need to use hose clamps more farther from base of outlet.

Have used Gates hoses for decades...and have used this application several times without issue....but this hose (lower hose even worse) was not formed very well and I was barely able to use it.

Works great on 2004 WRX, nice thick rubber. Don't wait till it's to late with the replacement of the upper hose, looks like OEM one swells with time and may end up getting hit by the blades of radiator fan. That's what happend to mine @ 130k miles, whole engine covered with coolant and overheated. I wish i had replaced it with timing belt @105k...
