It did NOT have the mesh sleeve as shown, however it was a perfect fit for my 1999 Jeep Wrangler 4.0. The shipping speed was OK for me, I was doing a head repair so ten days for shipping was no big deal. Less then half the price from the local discount auto parts dealer, and it's a Gates hose! I may of had to trim the length, I can't remember, regardless, I would buy again.
