Was not sure about buying for knapping-- BUT!!! Wonderful stock and someone seems to have taken some time in picking out the pieces. One suggestion would be to pad it better in box as there was a considerable amount of "dust in box-- from pieces grinding together. Thank you for great product! Now to improve my skills!:)

Good sized spalls plenty big enough to make large points or knife blades out of.
