We bought this 2 months ago and it has never worked well for snow removal on a smooth concrete driveway. There is a lot of friction between the driveway and the snowblower - it does not push easily or well at all - so you end up leaving a lot of snow on a concrete driveway. It does not come skid shoes or small wheels to help it move over a concrete driveway surface. And the bottom side edges of this snowblower are not made for installation of "universal" skid or wheel kits. (we tried.)I waited for 35-40 minutes on-hold to talk to a Powersmart/Amerisun customer service rep because we needed help with this. The message from them was "Well that is the way it is. Maybe you can take the unit to a local small engine shop and see if they can help you."Also, beware that the snowblower is comparatively loud. Other electric battery-powered snowblowers (like Ryobi's) are much quieter. We may end up taking the snowblower someplace to see if someone can figure out a skid or wheel solution. But, Powersmart/Amerisun need to stand behind their products and help out their customers with legitimate issues like this.

This is an excellent snowblower! This was my first time ever using a snowblower and this snowblower went through 13 inches of snow like it was nothing.

I have no previous experience with snow blowers but I live in an area (TN) that only has occasional snow so I didn't want the expense or the unpredictable readiness of either a gas machine or a battery machine. This one seemed to fill the bill at a reasonable cost and I ordered it in anticipation of a forecasted snow storm in Nashville. Without the benefit of experience with other machines, I am guessing it performs as promised. That said, input opening indicates it can handle 12 in high snow, but it seemed to struggle with the 5 or 6 inches of snow we received. The snow was very wet which I am sure impacted the performance, but it struggled none the less. I am guessing it will perform better with colder, dryer (powder) type snow.

Little work horse for the size. It does throw the snow 20-30 ft. depending on the weight. It does clear nicely. My only concern is that the electric cord is a slight nuisance. Have to find a way to control it better. It was so cold outside the shoot jammed up, but only twice. I just shoved it down with my glove and tipped the machine over and cleared what was up inside. This only happened twice in an hour. Otherwise, power is good, machine seems reliable. I also like that the blades are rubber coated so that they do not tear up my driveway. I have the 18" and am very pleased with the size and power. I do not even have space for the larger one. So far, so good.

We needed a small snowblower to keep the patio clear. We have a much larger tractor amount ed blower, but we needed something smaller to handle the jobs around the house. We are elderly and shoveling is difficult. This is much easier, and, although it doesn't do a perfect job, it is adequate for our purposes. It has been tested with an 8 inch wet snowfall and did a fine job.
