I like this run resistance training tool. It is easily adjustable to fit a wide range of bodies. The straps are durable and sewn well. I have confidence in this holding up to abuse.The release rope activates easily. It releases a clasp so the runner can practice explosive starts. This unpredictable release of tension helps in training reaction speed.No negatives. Effective training tool at a fair price for high-quality equipment.

I ordered the POWER GUIDANCE Speed Training Equipment/Overload Running Resistance & Release Equipment to help my kids team get faster. I'm no speed coach or know much about how to make the kids faster, but I can say they really enjoy using this speed tool and have a blast. It also gets them running and getting in shape without me having to get on them to do sprints. You do have to be careful, the release cord is very sensitive and releases the clip very easily. I do think this item is a little overpriced for what I use it for, but for serious athletes it may be well worth the cost.

First use with my athlete the shoulder harness snapped off of the belt. I would like a replacement or refund. This isn't acceptable.

The straps and release mechanism are secure and sturdy. I would recommend running a low tension, minimal lean trial run with an agreed on count down for anyone using the item so they acclimate to what the release feels like to avoid any unwanted reminders of gravity and friction. This is particularly important because the proper lean for launch can really take someone by surprise since the holder triggers the release mechanism and not the runner. I really do like it though. I had the opportunity to try it with four people and they all really enjoyed it. I think the only thing to be cautious of as the holder other than the relative weight difference between the runner and holder is the release mechanism. I really got a bit firm with some of the release pulls and smacked myself in the ankle with the latch mechanism. Just avoid being too exuberant with your release pulls and you will be fine. If anyone is really skinny or under 5'/153cm it can be a bit loose. The velcro and the straps only tighten so much, but it can work securely even if a little loose in my trial runs.I think the item really accurately matches the product photos and they are much higher resolution than the instruction manual ones. My only critique would be to clear up some of the later intruction photos for putting on the vest and including some instructions for use. The instruction manual is pretty clear about setup, but if you have any issues with how to loop the chest straps, just consult the images in the listing. The same goes for using it. Once the vest is on, just stand behind, have the runner lean in a ready position and coordinate on a release timing plan. The instructions do not really cover use with a partner, but it is pretty intuitive.

It's fun to use. It has a string the runs along that let's it do a quick release which is funny. I was using this to have my brother pull me. And when i was ready I would release and watch him speed off.The quality is pretty high and is very strong. Easy to use out of the bag and go.

This POWER GUIDANCE Speed Training Equipment/Overload Running Resistance & Release, Agility and Speed Equipment seems well made but my son did not understand that this was not for solo use and that you needed a partner. He is also very skinny so it is a little loose on him. We assumed it had some kind of weighted option. He has still attempted to use this but so far has not found much information. This kit only comes with instructions on how to put it on.
