This "Portable Camping Stove camping wood stove" is very sturdy, but it is a little too heavy.This little stove is is built out of what appears to be pretty good quality steel. With that, comes extra weight. It is too heavy and bulky to to be used as a back packing stove. It would work well for car camping, but when assembled it is too big, bulky, and heavy.Speaking of assembly, it says that it comes fully assembled. That was partly true in my case. There were a few screws and nuts that looked like they were just thrown in the bag with the stove. It may be possible that they came loose and fell out during shipping, but if that was the case, it was poorly assembled in the first place.They included a small wrench and an allen wrench style screwdriver (not a little mini screwdriver like in the picture). No problem, that's fine, but it is a pain to assemble and disassemble. To many parts and too many screws and nuts. Once assembled, I don't want to take it apart again. This is also another reason why it is not a great option for hiking. Too easy to loose screws or nuts and takes too long to put together and take apart. Would be so much better if it could be assembled with little slots and tabs and connect together without any tools, like so many other little camp stoves. That being said, most of those other stoves are made of thin, lightweight titanium and they are not as big or sturdy as this stove.The stove overall is okay. It's nice and has some good features, like being able to feed sticks in at the bottom. It is simply not good option for backpacking/hiking.

This is my third miniature camping stove. This one is 1/3 of the price of the other two stoves but it's also about 3x heavier. I think that's the trade-off they make for making their prices so much more accessible. Size-wise, all of my miniature camping stoves are similar but this one is a little bigger, and is square vs. the other ones I have being cylinder-shaped.The other two stoves that I have also come with vents that can be turned on that make the stove "smokeless." I like that this one has a front access for adding wood though, which is easier than the drop-in-from-on-top that the other two use, and allows me to keep the flames hotter and higher.There is NO way I would take this one hiking because it's just too heavy, and disassembling it would take too much time. However, for car camping or backyard use, this is a great little stove.
