Identifies moissanite, detects strain diamonds and other jewels, and distinguishes synthetic amethyst from genuine amethyst.

A polariscope is a specialized equipment for determining if a gemstone is twofold (anisotropic) or singly (isotropic) refractive. The top polarizing filter is turned/rotated when a stone is placed between two polarizing filters. If used with the conoscope (loupe or interference ball), optic interference figures can also be seen. With the conoscope, the user can see the different directions the light is traveling through the stone.

When ordering, there is nowhere to indicate whether you want 110 or 220 volts.I thought that after the order, someone would ask for how many volts to send it to me, but they didn't let me for 110 and it almost killed me.
