I was hoping this would be made from a denser type of Styrofoam, making it more durable and insulated. Unfortunately it's not and it dings up very easily. It did the job but I doubt I'll be able to use it again since it got beat up so easily. I was using this for a camping trip because I loved our old large, Styrofoam cooler, I'm sure it would work fine for shipping purposes.

We have two feral kitties that have made our house their home. Winter was coming and we felt that some shelter was needed. I cut a 6 inch hole in the side and stacked a pillow, the heater pad and a fleece blanket inside. I also placed two bricks for extra weight on top to be sure the containers didn't blow around on high wind days/nights. It didn't take them long to find their new 'apartments' on our deck. The ability to select the heat level is great ...on warmer days we keep it at level on 1 or 2, very cold nights we put it at 3 or 4. We also keep it 'always on' as this helps keep the inside of the boxes dry. Water doesn't seem to be a problem for the controller and the chew resistant cord is very sturdy, long, and well attached to the pad. The blue cover pad washes well and is easy to put back on the heater pad. The 'apartments' have been running nonstop for four months now with no problems.

I had to return this one for the smaller size. That one came with 2 containers. This item is perfect for shipping frozen food!!! Highly recommend it.

Large enough to accommodate a cat-flap door on the end.Heat options are numerous and include pet warming pads as well as light bulbs of various types and size. Care must be taken, however, to insure that any heat source is not melting the foam.The cardboard box also helps make the whole thing sturdier than it might otherwise be and is probably the best place to mount a cat door.

I bought this product three times. The first time to ship salmon, the second time to bring frozen food home and the third time to ship perishable items. My second experience using this product was mine blowing . I bought frozen salmon with a wet towel over it from Ohio to Virginia . This container was on the back of the truck, for 10 hours during the summertime !!!! When I got home, I don’t was frozen . It was too late to put the salmon in the frozen. woke up the next morning items still solid frozen and the towel frozen also with ice. I had emergency that day didn’t have time to put the salmon in the freezer. so on the third day, I open the box up, expecting the salmon Spoidled or Defrost .......NOT....the salmon was still ROCK hardfrozen solid including the top towel.....THANKYOU! For an EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!!

Unfortunately, it didn't fit my purpose. I purchased it to put in the trunk of our car. At times, while running errands, we purchase something perishable or frozen that just isn't going to keep till we get home. This container would have been perfect but Polar Tech doesn't give exterior dimensions. I took a guess and it turned out to be 4" too tall and no way would fit height-wise. Really disappointed because the insulation is perfect. I'd recommend this to anyone to use as a foam container.
