I bought the Kordos Mini Trumpet as a fun and portable alternative to my full-size horn and was impressed by its build quality, even compared with more expensive student quality instruments..The trumpet itself feels sturdy, with a nice brass finish. The valves were a little sticky at first, but after some oiling and playing, they smoothed out.The smaller size naturally makes it harder to get precise intonation. However, with a little patience and practice, you can get a reasonable sound out of it. The tone is bright but slightly thin, which is expected from a compact instrument like this.It comes with a 7C mouthpiece, which works fine, but I found that using a higher-quality one improved the playability.The case is sturdy enough for protection, pretty compact, also has extra space for the cleaning kit and gloves, which is a nice touch.Overall for the cost, this is a solid choice for a beginner or someone looking for a fun practice instrument or travel horn. It's obviously not a replacement for a full-size trumpet, but if you don't want to risk banging up your main horn, this is a solid and affordable alternative.
