This range box goes above & beyond with room for everything I need for gun maintenance at the range. In fact, I love this thing so much that this is the 2nd one I’ve purchased! will now cover the main things others have either complained about or didn’t mention. As far as the rifle rest yokes go, at first I, too, was disappointed in how they couldn’t be carried in the bottom of the box without taking up most of the room. So, I mounted them to the outside of the case securely with Velcro - problem solved. Speaking of the yokes, one great feature nobody has mentioned is that once set up as a rifle rest for cleaning, there are 2 slots on each side designed for your cleaning rods to rest horizontally, fore-to-aft (you can put 4 rods, 2 each side) on each side of the rifle being cleaned. Last but not least, the carry handle is hefty & rubber overmolded which makes carrying an absolute joy.

Excellent product, i can fit all my airguns bits in plus alot more, seems a sturdy construction, rifle sits perfectly ontop for when it needs work/oiling, handle is very comfortable to carry, I just like the idea that all my gear is in one place so only the most important items that are used regularly are stored inside.Well worth the asking price, the only downside I've found is I can't close the lid when the rifle stand is attached everything else is pretty much perfect.

So far I like very much. I took the time to read a 'boat load' of reviews, and for the most part they were pretty positive. There were some negative comments out there, but none of these were a concerned to me, i.e. "not being totally water proof" or "not being able to carry ALL of my ammo". For me, I keep my 'Plano Box' in a 'dry box' in the back of the truck, and try and stay of out the pouring rain when cleaning or re-loading. I also have a metal ammo box for most ammunition. I only carry what I intend to use for that trip and do keep a couple of cans of pellets in the box for the AR. Yes, the 'Gun Rest' do take up a bit of room in the box, but for me, I'm ok with that, as that was the reason for ordering a Box with Gun Rests, and have more than enough room for my needs. The rests were not that bad to install, as some have reported, and work very well. There are no instructions, but YT exists. Actually its pretty self explanatory. The 'tray' is also pretty decent. Lots of room for cleaning supplies and tools. I'm currently thinking of lining the bottom of the case w/ some dense foam (1") and perforated w/ 'holding slots' to keep "stuff" in place. All in all, I find the "Plano Shooters Case" to be strong/rugged and roomy. Locking clamps are pretty standard on what you would find on any good tool case (Stanley). Good amount of room for your shooting/cleaning supplies. Gun Rests work wellAnd while I would not recommend it, I did use the case as a shooting platform for zeroing my scope (air rifle + .22). Although 2 large clamps and 4 10lb weights were needed, which I happen to have in my truck. Surprised how well it worked, although I would not make it habit.Ordering was easy and shipping took about a week. Tracked order right to my Box. Price was bearable.I'm happy with the purchased. It also makes a great seat in a pinch.Hope that helps

first of all, i was surprised at the size of this thing. it is bigger in every dimension than a standard metal toolbox. the case seems to be very sturdy and well assembled, and needless to say, has plenty of room in it. i really only have two complaints, but they are by no means deal breakers.1. the gun rests are a little difficult to install and uninstall, so much so that i think of it as being a bit of a chore so will probably use them less than i was anticipating. (if anyone knows an easy way to do this then by all means correct me and let me know how it is done).2. the removable tray has a section with a grid of small holes used to hold bore brushes. if you put them in with the brush part in first then the bore brush gets deformed because the hole is too small, if you put it in with attachment end first then it falls out while transporting because the holes are too big. if this were just another blank spot, similar to the other side of the tray i would have found it to be far more useful.overall, for the price i paid, i think this is an excellent case and would recommend it if you can overlook these two complaints.right now i keep all bore brushes and tools in the tray along with snap caps, cleaning patches, solvent, and oil. under the tray and in the main compartment i keep a roll of shop towels, 3 bore snakes (in their original packaging), and the gun rests. still have plenty of room in both sections for more stuff if and when needed.

Big enough, solid enough, spacious enough to do the job properly. So far it holds everything but the biggest gun cleaning kit that I have (only because it's in a fitted box that is too big for this container). I broke down two other kits and this thing holds it all. I like the camo like color and the rubberized cradles, they grab when a weapon is set into place. The only thing that I can find to criticize with this box is that the cradles should have a molded storage area to hold them firmly in place at the bottom of the container... they just flop around in the bottom on an angle, taking up more space than necessary. Also, the lid could be better utilized for storage of smaller items... space seems to be wasted up there for no reason that I can find. Still, the best I could find and I searched for days online.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and he loves it! It's very roomy and he uses it to store all his gun cleaning supplies, his targets and other gun related necessities. He even used the gun rest on top of the case to sight his gun in and it works well to hold your gun while you're cleaning as well.It fits very well in the trunk of my Jetta or in a truck bed when we go up the mountain to shoot. There are no directions included that show you how to snap the gun rest on to the case, but it was pretty easy for us to look at a picture of it in place online and use our best judgement to attach them (You do have to push down on them pretty hard). The inside of the case also has a nice organizing tray that lifts out. The clips on the outside that keep the lid shut are very sturdy and so is the overall case. It's not too heavy just by itself, but it is pretty big, so if you're looking for a small case, this isn't the one for you, but if you're looking for a nice, durable, organized and decent sized shooter's case, this is the one for you! I would highly recommend it!

First let's make sure everyone understands, this is a storage box and stand for gun cleaning. It is not designed to be used a sighting platform. That being said, it is a great buy. It will store all the things you will need to clean a wide selection of weapons. Inside there is a lift out tray with two tiers. One handle lifts them both out and then you can lift out the second upper tray. The upper tray is shallower and will hold your chamber brushes, pipe cleaners, jags and patch pullers. The lower tray is twice as deep and can hold your rods, solvents, bore snakes, solvent jars...etc. The belly of the box easily holds smaller spray cans erect, or large on their side along with rags and blocks of patches. I like the padded detachable cradle. I especially am grateful for how this box can accommodate my black rifles. ARs on your typical cradle setups tend to bottom out; but with the trays removed there is more than enough room to mount an AR even with a banana clip(don't know yet why you would want to do that).Pros: Solid construction Functional tray design Deep case Padded detachable cradle Handle made for man hands PriceCons: Still trying to find one.
