The latch is fine. Thought it would come with an adhesive. Make sure you get an adhesive else where so you can install it.I still haven't gotten around to researching and buying an adhesive so I haven't used it after a month of it sitting in my truck. I wish I knew it did not have an adhesive as it is nice to buy everything at once and get a project done. Otherwise it falls to the back burner and I just don't get around to it

You will need some JB weld, or some other kind of thick adhesive. Then under side of this latch is concave, meaning anything short of a thick gel adhesive will NOT hold it on.
