Garbage. Your better off using a pair of the biggest pliers ever made and scratch the heck out of your piston. That's what this will do does fit.

it didn't help me with pushing the pins that came with new piston kit. maybe if the metal was greased it would be possible? on the other hand pushing in the clips that came with the tool was walk in the park. this is mainly because they are twice skinner than the original ktm or vertex clips. and one could easily use fingers to push them in without any tools

Tried to install a circlip on a 4-stroke piston. The 18mm tool is correct for the outside diameter, but the pushing part is too wide to slide within the wristpin. In addition, the wristpin portion of the piston is recessed too much for the portion of the tool that holds the circlip where it inserts into the piston and the tool contacts the top portion of the piston before seating into the wristpin hole.2012 WR450F. Same basic piston for a lot of dirt bikes, so I don't expect it to work on other of my intended uses on 4-strokes, but may work on a 2 stroke.

Tool will not fit under top of piston with necessary clearance to line up inline with wrist pin bore. The shoulder is too close to the end of tool to fit in my KTM piston see picture
