I bought this as a funny stocking stuffer for my husband. His first reaction was why did he need one because he could just use a fork. But, after using it the first time, he LOVES it! He tells me all the time how great it is because he doesn't get pickle juice all over. Who knew that an $8.99 gadget would be one of his favorite gifts! Highly recommend.

I bought this for my daughter for her love of pickles. She honestly didn’t know what it was and once she found out, her face lit up! Hilarious and genius at the same time. Who knew that this was a “thing”. Highly recommend!!

Seems like a silly idea, but is actually practical! If you are pickle or olive lover, these will definitely make your life easier. The long handled olive spoon allows me to drain the extra liquid from the olive easily, unlike just using a teaspoon. The pickle pincher makes getting those last few pickles that are hanging out in the very bottom of the brine up and out of the jar much more easily than trying to stab them, and missing, with a fork!

Did you know that this is simply a larger version of the tool used to extract blood clots and small growths during surgery? Well, now you do. You’re welcome. Now that the trivia portion of the review is taken care of, let’s move on to how this actually works, shall we?The operation of this clever tool is incredibly simple and intuitive. Press the plunger, the grabber comes out. Then, you simply place the tines around the item you would like and let up on the plunger so that the little prongs grab it. That’s it.Now, for the bad part. This thing is pretty flimsy and the tines too small and too sharp to grab anything approaching a full sized pickle. This grabber is best used for the advertised olives, and some pickle chips, but our spears got shredded when we tried it on them. I was afraid a full pickle would bend the prongs, so I didn’t attempt it. This could do with an all around upgrade, but it works perfectly for small things.Bottom line: a fun, useful gadget for small items suspended in liquid. Too flimsy for heavy items. Recommended, but with the stated reservations.

I'm a pickle addict and I use this thing daily. It is flimsy but hasn't broke yet. And has worked as advertised.

This is one of those things that you do not know you need until you have it and then you do not know what took you so long to get one. I keep it right by the fridge. It is easy to use and grabs on to whatever item you are reaching for. It is a lot cleaner than sticking your fingers into the jar. Especially considering jalapenos might get spicyness on your fingers. This is easy to use and easy to clean, as it can be thrown into the dishwasher. Great little doodad to have, I reccomend.

Not very strong gripping. Wont pick up and keep hold of gerkins. Reminds me of the claw game where it just wont keep hold of the item. Works ok for small olive and pickle chips but wouldn't even pick up a gorganzolla stuffed olive.
