Description saying oval head and bottom of ellipse lead me to believe mandrel was elliptical like a wrist. Instead it is round. I could have used a scrap piece of wood and turned this on my lathe in a few minutes and at no cost. Not what I was expecting!

This is perfect for what I was trying to accomplish! I wrote in sharpie the actual sizes for each step of the mandrel. I kind wish it was more uniformly in 1/4 increments but it’s close enough for me. I’m not making jewelry to sell, just for myself, family or friends. I feel that because it is stepped you get a more accurate size. I wish I could find a stepped ring mandrel too. I’ve included in the picture the sizes I measured for each step. It goes from 5 to 8 5/8 on mine. Perfect for making adjustable bangles for myself and my toddler who loves jewelry. The hammer also seems pretty good. I haven’t tried it out yet but it feels nice in the hand and it’s a good weight. If for some reason I lost it I’d order it again. It was also very well packaged and protected for shipment.
