This does not fit outside our cage. If you have a C&C cage with vertical, thin bars, look elsewhere. Actually, look elsewhere regardless, as it leaks water very easily. We put it on the inside of the cage since it doesn't fit on the outside, and even though it is level, it still leaks. Our guineas are having such a difficult time finding the right water bottle for them. We thought we found it, but the leaking is a definite no for us. I will try to take a video showing how easily it leaks. The issue is with the back of it. Really poorly designed.

We adopted two buns from the same litter but one seems to like drinking out of a bowl better than the water bottle. I was looking for an option that could be fixed in one spot instead of using a free standing bowl and found this. Such a great combination of a water bottle and bowl. It was super easy to install on the side of the hutch, it doesn’t leak at all, and is a great design if you have a bun who prefers a bowl.

We use it on the floor and not attached. I like the functionality and being able to use on cage inside or out, and can just place on floor without toppling over. It does not leak and seems very sturdy. The only issue I have is that water does not flow freely to refill bottle. If we notice level is low in bowl we have to pick up bottle turn over then back down so water comes out. It has a metal marble that stops flow of water. We are gonna see if we can remove the marble to help resolve this issue. Overall works ok.

We were first pretty confused as it seemed to leak a little and we couldn't figure out why. After we let it sit without touching it, it finally stopped dripping. After that, there was no more leaking. The little bowl was a little tricky to refill at first for our rabbit, but she quickly figured it out. In less than a day she had it down. Now she loves it and her cage stays cleaner because there's no leaky water bottle, and she can't knock this one over! I did give it a 4 star just because the bowl doesn't stay as full as I think it should, which makes our rabbit think there's nothing in there. It makes her try harder to get more, then its totally full. Hasn't run over yet, but I'm sure its a matter of time.

This is perfect for if you've got a critter that isn't very good with a traditional water bottle. I have three ferrets, and one of them just hates how slow the water comes out of the regular small animal water bottles. This one is perfect for him! The actual bowl part holds a somewhat small amount of water, which is perfect to keep your animals from splashing it everywhere. It refills as they drink it, and it holds a pretty decent amount in the bottle. As you're installing it, be sure to utilize the included circular black pad that goes between the bottle and the bars. You tighten the plastic nut down on it and it helps to keep the bowl perfectly straight to avoid any leaking or tilting. Once you've gotten it installed properly, you wont have any leaking at all! There's also a little plastic removable piece with holes in it that sits inside the bowl and can be lifted out to remove any food pieces or anything else your animals might get in the bowl, without you having to disassemble the whole bottle first!

Having the water dispense into a small bowl is good for pets like bunnies which can otherwise become dehydrated if using a straw/bottle setup. That being said, I would recommend this for smaller pets than bunnies (especially if it's your only water source). It's good for guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, etc. For even a small to medium sized bunny, they will quickly run out of water. I will use this as a backup option at best for my bunnies.Once it's set up it functions as advertised and, despite the small size, it is a great waterer. I appreciated how easy it was to remove the bowl section for cleaning and the removable insert in the bowl blocks some of the hair from getting up into the main water source. It also did not leak and it did refill as expected. I think that the design also allows the waterer to be installed with just the bull part being inside of the pen. The connector from the bowl to the bottle is small enough where it can fit between smaller spaced bars. Just make sure it's large enough for your pet.

Our 10 pound dog has surgery in the next few days and will be confined to a small kennel for a couple weeks at least, up to a couple months, and we needed a water bottle we could attach to his kennel that wouldn't spill that he could reach without having to get up and move since he will be immobile after knee surgery. I know this is meant for small pets but honestly this is a fantastic option for dogs and cats as well. It gives him access to enough water he can get a drink anytime he needs but also doesn't have enough access to spill it all over his bedding. It attached easily even to our non-standard barred dog kennel furniture, I think even if the bars you need to attach this to are too thick you could probably swap out the screw and make it longer without much trouble. We just did not use the included "pad" sticker and it was plenty of room to attach to his half-inch thick dog kennel bars and it hasn't moved in a few days so it's holding up well even without this padding and very solid in it's current position. The design makes this really easy to adjust to your home and needs. He's already started drinking out of it and we can place it within inches of where his face will be when he is immobile. Really glad to find this, it's exactly what we needed for his recovery period and I can see this being a great option for travel as well.
