Beware - this is not a single dose tablet for dogs over 20 pounds. If you are making comparison with other brands make sure you understand that if you have a 60 pound dog, you have to give them three tablets per day. The other brand, which I don't think I can mention in this review, only uses one tablet. So when I was doing my comparison I did not see the '1 tablet per 20lbs' in the directions online so I thought I was getting a great deal when in reality, it really wasn't ...

This has been a really cost effective replacement for Pet Tabs Plus. It was suggested many years ago by my Vet when I had a pup with some heaths issues. I have just continued on after al these years. It is like added insurance for your dogs health. the proof is in bloodwork that always comes back great and the nails and coat are great.

I add this product to my homemade dog food to ensure I am covering their nutritional needs in the event my recipe is not consistent. I crush it over their breakfast each morning. With three dogs, this product makes me feel like I am doing the right thing at a very affordable cost.

My dog was eating pebbles, then started eating tan bark. This went on for several months. He had other behavioral changes as well. I realized that perhaps he was low on minerals, even though I do buy a high quality dog food. We started the multivitamins 2 weeks ago. About a week into taking the tablets (one time daily) he has stopped eating the pebbles and most of the time does not eat the tan bark anymore. His other behavioral issues have subsided as well. So, I think the extra boost of vitamins and minerals has really helped. The size tablet is perfect for him and he enjoys the flavor - he thinks they are a treat! This PD Med brand offered a good price, a balance of vitamins and minerals, and the tablets are very easy to give.

So far, so good. My three dogs like the taste...we will see how they work long term. One of my pups had several diarrhea bouts in a row due to different reasons, so he has been on and off on a diet of just white rice and chicken for several weeks. We noticed that he was shedding quite a bit, and thought he was of course missing some needed vitamin or mineral in his diet. After a week of use, his shedding has noticeably decreased.I compared the ingredients in these with the other top rated (4+ stars) dog multivitamins on amazon, and these compare very competitively. They are almost the same ingredient list/concentrations as the pet tab plus, which are a long term proven good product. I liked the ingredients, the price, and the fact that they are manufactured in the US.

I breed Great Danes. We feed human-grade, home-cooked food. For years, I have used Pet Tabs Plus to supplement my dogs' diet with good results. However, Pet Tabs Plus has become almost impossible to find, and the only source I could find was $150 for a bottle of 365. That is absolutely insane! The last bottle I bought was $34 with free shipping. So, I began searching for an alternative. I saw these Pet MD vitamins and the price was acceptable. Some reviewers complained they received unsealed bottles. Some reviewers complained their dog doesn't like the taste. I decided to take a chance and order some. The label stated vitamin levels are very similar to Pet Tabs, being slightly over in some, slightly under in others. I asked my vet, who also was a Pet Tabs fan, what he thought. He said he thought they were pretty comparable. The bottle I got was sealed outside and inside. My dogs ate them, but were not excited about it. Pet MD could improve the taste for dogs, and that would help considerably. Since I feed such delicious homemade food, I can slip these vitamins in their food, and they will gobble them up. As long as the price stays competitive, I will most likely keep buying them. I knocked one star off my rating due to the taste. Fix that, Pet MD, and I will easily rate it five stars.
