My Husband and I love this tandem! Very sturdy, hasn't flipped even when we jump out into the lake and then pull ourselves back in. Very good in rough waters when it's windy/Stormy. A little heavy to lift weighing in at 80lbs, but with two of us it's not that bad. Plenty of room for two coolers, our ladder and room for one more small person cause there's a third seat in the middle. Dry bags stay dry and cup holders hold regular cans good.

These are awesome! SUPER sturdy (it would be very very difficult to tip these over). Great quality and we had zero issues with shipping. Do be aware that they are very heavy to carry.

Very stable and fast. Easy to maneuver. Tried to flip to test stability and can’t flip in the lake. Very roomy with great features such as 2 dry boxes in haul. A place to put 2 ram mounts for cameras, etc. one on right side back and one in front center floor. Handles could be moved closer to center. Only downside heavy when you’re by your self at 80 plus pounds. But very solid and well built.

Just received the kayak. Delivery was on time and well carried out. Unfortunately, after unwrapping and inspecting the kayak, I discovered a large dent in the left front side. Bummer, everything else looks okay but the kayak is going back due to this caved in side. We shall see what the next one looks like...Update: I got the replacement kayak 5 days after filling out the return order for the damaged one. The shippers were super careful with this one. It was not wrapped up in anything when they carefully took it out of their leased truck. So, after 2 tries the second kayak was in good shape.So why only 3 stars? Please take a look at the plusses and minuses below:Plus:1. This kayak is very stable. I tested 3 different kayaks (by renting.) This kayak was not the fastest but was certainly the best for stability, storage, seating, interior space, and price.2. The dry storage compartments work well - and are dry.3. The tie downs front and rear are very nice.4. Overall, the kayak looks pretty darn nice. I got the light blue one.5. Cupholders front and back are cool and I do use them.Minuses:1. As reported in other reviews, the first kayak arrived damaged. The second one was fine.2. The $920 price I paid for this was well over retail. This kayak retails for $830 according to the Perception website. Amazon is not always the cheapest place to buy stuff. This provider just happened to buy up most of the Perception doubles. My dealer in Florida could not get any to sell me at any price. I waited 30 days for the local dealer and then went with this overpriced kayak on Amazon.3. My kayak came with extra special stuff "inside." After using the kayak a few times I noticed something rattling around inside the hull. I searched inside by sticking my arm into the dry bag cutouts. Finally found the noise. For no extra charge, Perception included a pair of needle nose pliers and lots of plastic waste inside the hull (see pictures.) That said, I'm really wondering about the quality control procedures at the Perception manufacturing plant. The good news here is the inside of the hull was bone dry and the hull does not leak one bit. All the trash inside the hull was bone dry after 5+ outings by me.Yes, I would buy this kayak again. It tracks well and is quite stable even in choppy water. I have no unexpected surprises with the kayak itself. Nice job Perception!FYI: After a month Amazon was sending me warning messages about not receiving my kayak return on the first Kayak. Told me I would be charged another $900+ if they did not get it back in 2 weeks. What? The shipper delivered the replacement and picked up the return - what gives? It took over an hour of my time to get online and get this straightened out by Amazon. Wish I could have bought this at my local kayak store!

This tandem kayak is great! The new seats for the 2020 model are definitely an upgrade from the previous year model. It’s sturdy and well built. We also bought (separately) the scupper plugs so we had them to plug the holes if needed when on the water. There is room for 1-2 small children but there is no true seat them so they are basically sitting by your feet. We bought some foam pads for our daughter (6 y.o.) to sit on when we went out on the river. I’m probably 235 lbs, my wife is ~140 lbs, and my daughter is about 50 lbs. The kayak was stable on the water and we had a great time. The only thing missing would have been some kind of true seat for a kid, even if it was an add-on you had to buy separately that could snap in place or something similar. Definitely recommend it. One thing to keep in mind is that this tandem kayak is huge, and due to its length/weight i would definitely recommend using two people when you’re moving it. Enjoy!
