Nice like oil pastel like texture. Hard to draw on textured shirt. There isn’t a sharp point so it’s hard to draw details. I ironed the design and washed it recently and the design has faded a little bit. Not sure how many washes it will last.

I use these for making permanent designs on T-shirts, handkerchiefs, and sometimes the faces of stuffed cloth dolls. Fabric must be able to withstand hot setting on iron, so choose 100% cotton - no delicate synthetics, and I do recommend heat-testing with your iron ahead of time. Put a thin piece of paper or even a paper towel both under and over the decorated fabric before ironing. (Doll faces must be drawn and heat-set with iron before stuffing, and ideally before sewing). If the designs aren't quite the way you want them, the package says they can be rinsed out of the fabric before ironing, and you can start over...I have never had to rinse out the colors this way, and some people say the colors don't wash out completely, but it would be worth a try if you experience the need for it.

Unbeatable price, easy to use, made my boring T-shirts sooo unique in one hour! Love it and will buy more colors. BTW, do iron with paper, DO NOT use a hair dryer, the color will disappear…

It works well on jeans; it is a bit light, which is why I deducted a star, but what it is and how much it costs can't go wrong. Fun little activity that is easy to use. You draw with the pastels and place a piece of paper between the iron and your design. Then you are all set. I haven't washed it, but I imagine it doesn't stay for many washes. Perfect for having kids design a piece of clothing.

Lo compré para regalar y está bien pero es un poco más chiquito de lo que esperaba. No se si funcionó bien o no

In the photos attached to my review, you can see what designs look like when freshly set and what they look like after 9 years of wear/washes. I made my sister a shirt 9 years ago using these and my nephew recently wanted his own shirt, so I bought some more of these to make him one.I agree with other reviewers that they break easily during use, are messy, and can smear. If you were using these for a craft with kids, I would recommend having them wear painting aprons and protecting your work surfaces .To prevent bleed-thru and make it easier to draw on the fabric and when I iron the design, I like to put a thick piece of cardboard on the other side of the fabric (separating the sides of the shirt/ bag/ etc and also protecting your work surface.) For fiddly designs or ones with lots of colours, I recommend ironing after each colour to prevent lots of smearing. If pieces of the pastel break, you can reduce mess when you use them by making your own paper sleeves for the pieces or my just wearing gloves.I like that this product is long lasting. I also like that the colours are blendable and the colour is buildable (sometimes something looks okay when freshly coloured, but looks patchy once set. No bother - just recolour over the area and set it again). I wish there was a wider range of hues available. This set comes with no purple! The colours are: pink, red, orange, gold, ochre, yellow, lime green, green, dark green, medium blue, navy blue, white, grey, black, brown.

These are fabric dye sticks are wonderful, really hold up after many, many washes. The dye sticks are very similar to an oil pastel, very soft and smudgy. On stretchy materials, like t-shirts, it does require a technique to apply and might be challenging for a small child. They work fabulous on firm materials, like canvas, blending in easy and the colors are so bold. The heat set is simple and easy and MUST BE DONE in order for a PERMANENT product. The pictures of the shirts I made have been washed over 20 times on warm cycle. I did one on a gray shirt and was impressed on how well the color showed up and stayed after so many washes.

Die Farben sind nicht wie Kreiden, sondern eher wie Wachsmaler. Schwierigen und deiner Linien sind dadurch nicht möglich. Am Backpapier bleiben Farbresten haften.Bin absolut unzufrieden.

Really good - and a great price . Used for decorating bags for a birthday party ( cotton bags ) .. All the kids used them easily ..no mess... And all the kids had fun .. Worth buying .. Very easy to set the colours ..( bought a roll of cheap lining paper - put the paper over the bags and ironed ( just a quick iron req'd ) easy . Recommend .

I purchased the Pentel Arts Fabric Fun Pastel Dye Sticks as part of a Christmas gift for my 9 year old daughter. She has gotten quite a bit of use out of them so far and so has her sister. They go on the fabric very easily. The color is very rich and stays put. I would definitely get these over fabric markers and unless you want the texture that fabric paint gives, I'd choose these over the paint too. If you like oil pastels, that is pretty much what these are except for fabric. I've washed the shirts my daughter "designed" several times now and the color hasn't faded yet. These offer a lot of creative fun for a small price.
