can't speak for its longevity or build quality but it sounds great. Nice warm full vocal sound. Better than my Shures.I have tried other very cheap import mics as well as the expensive ones with varying results. Its at least nice to have a name brand attached to this one and for the price , I think the sound is excellent. We'll see how it holds up. The on off switch is a little flimsy and I'm not a fan of on off switches to begin with. But thats a minor complaint right now.

I am not a tech but I've done quite a bit of recording in my time. I don't understand specs or technical sound measurements; all I know is what my ears hear coming out of the amp, and the response I get from the mike itself. This mike has a good feel to it (body is metal). I personally like the on/off switch (some don't but I prefer it so I can shut it off in the case of unexpected background noise). The pickup distance allows use as either a close-proximity voice mike, or on a stand for guitar/voice solo (have to crank the amp a bit for further distance).Technically I doubt it's the best microphone ever made. But I'm very pleased with the handling, response and quality of sound reproduction. For the price I don't think it can be beat. Doesn't require a phantom power supply; if your amp has an XLR input this plugs right in and you're ready to go.

Needed an additional good yet inexpensive mic to use for our nursing home visits. After reading all the reviews several times, I decided to give this one a try. I like that it has an on/off switch. The sound is clear. It works very well with the Fender portable PA system. Can't beat the price as it came with the cable. The only negative is that the stand holder was broken. I have not yet written the company to see if they will send a replacement. I would recommend this mic.

The Peavey Pvi 100 is a great low cost microphone for any PA, DJ, or Band. Bonus points for coming with a stand mount and an XLR cable. Nice to have spares of those. This is our third one of these and we love them. Sure there are better mics, but if you aren't gentle with them they break. This lil unit can take a beating of being on the road every week and still sound great.

This is an excellent value for the money. The mic looks great, works well and sounds fine. Inexpensive enough to get a few extras, especially with the xlr cable and mic mount included. We use these in a house of worship for announcements, and they last a few years if handled well. Cardiod pick up reduces feedback, and integrated switch is very useful, plus built in pop filter makes it almost pop resistant.Very nice mic.

If you're like me and really can't sing, it doesn't matter what mic you have and I wasn't going to spend the money on a Shure SM58 when I can buy 4 of these for the same price. I've used this mic with a Behringer Xenyx 802 and currently with a Yamaha MG06X and it sounds good to me and everyone else that was using it.

This is an excellent microphone for general use. It is unidirictional and has great quality. Compare to EV, Shure and others. I am a dealer and would recommend this microphone ... comes with XLR or 1/4 inch phone connector.

This is ok. Not a bad microphone but you may as well step up 10 more dollars and get the Shure. The sound quality is not that great and its dynamic range seems kind of limited.
