I’ve only used L style arms to mount toms. I’ve been converted. The Pearl style mounts and tom arms are extremely solid. L arms would “bounce” more and range of motion for set up is more limited. Pearl hardware, I have more ranges of motion for perfect placement and once set, are SOLID! It’s now my preferred way to hang toms.

I am very annoyed with Pearl. They make nice stuff but it is expensive. This item is misleading and makes you think that you get a set when you only get ONE. Also the description should include more information as to what it is compatible with.They work but are very expensive and do not come in a set. If the was a set I would give it full 5 stars.
