These are great Tom legs very stout and disconnected the Tom from the floor musically very well.

I'm not sure how much of a sonic difference the "Air" feet make since I haven't done a comparison.... Makes sense in theory, so I bought them when redoing some Recording Customs. My one problem with the Yamahas has always been the suspended floor toms.. 2 bolts holding the weight of the drum and the wiggle factor, these legs combined with RIMS mounts made a huge difference tone wise and the drums no longer move when hit. I wasn't ready to have the shells drilled so I opted for the mounting setup... very happy with the results.

I used these on a 16x14 floor tom build - I believe that the air cushion feet do in fact help the drum to maintain resonance. This floor tom was an addition to a fantastic sounding Pearl SMX Session custom, and this floor tom sounds every bit as good as the rest of the kit.Don't skimp and get cheaper parts - these 3/8" legs are a great addition to any floor tom IMO.

I've used Pearl products my entire musical life. These floor tom legs actually do what they are designed to do - make your floor to sound better. Don't believe me? But a set!

Nice cushioned legs, in combination with the LB40 mounts, for a retro fit on an older drum. When restoring a drum kit, upgrading can be a nice way of improving the use and look of an older drum.

These legs have three things going for them: (1) the air suspension feet are not hype, (2) they are very long, and (3) they fit both of my vintage Slingerland floor toms. The air suspension feet on these legs can transform a dead sounding floor tom into a resonant musical instrument. If you already have a set of legs that are 9.5mm (or even 10.5mm) you can save by purchasing just the feet here: .At 22 inches these are longer than the vintage legs that are in my older floor toms, and slightly longer than my modern ones. I like my floor tom slightly higher than my snare drum, so the extra height is perfect for me.These legs will fit most vintage brackets which are 3/8 inches (9.5mm), and if you have a heavy duty bracket on a tom designed for up to 12.5mm these legs will sometimes work. I know for a fact that they will hold solidly in a 10.5mm bracket. If you leave your tom legs on your instrument the locking leg feature is a nice touch, It is basically a memory lock that prevents the legs from sliding out of the brackets. I do not use this feature because my toms will not fit inside their cases with the legs on - and remember that these legs are twenty-seven inches long, so most cases will not accommodate them.Overall, these are one of the few 'enhancements' that actually work. I would not think of using anything else on my floor toms.
