Valve Grind-Decarbon Gasket Set:If you want to extend the life of your BF B43 B48 P-216-218-220 engine,you need to remove the carbon and the clean the cooling fins. Then adjust the valves every 200hour.
Every time we tear down an engine that blows a rod they have burnt or out of adjustment valve on the other piston they will loose some power.
So people just turn up the throttle,other side carries the load for a while.Then they take out the rod. Replace the rod and do the same thing again,it is not necessary.
If you want to stop this cycle ,you should consider it.

time will tell just how good they are. doubt they will last 30 years like oem onan gaskets did. be sure to retorque the head gaskets after a few heat up cycles of the motor.

Must pay attention to gasket orientation. These are not symmetrical, so if it looks like the holes don't line up, flip it over and try again. No issues with my P218 decarbon and valve adjustment.
