The adhesive is so strong it does not want to peel off the roll. When you do pull it off the roll, the tape tries to stretch slightly and then recovers. It can be applied in slightly stretched condition to make it under tension and avoid wrinkles. When you apply the tape to a non-porous surface, it is pretty easy to push out any trapped air bubbles. Pulling off a smooth surface leaves no residue. Overall, it is great for sticking to plastic-coated or painted surfaces, and for taping seams between plastic sheets. When sealing seams between sections of carpet, best adhesion occurs for carpet backing that is in new, clean condition. There is a lot of tape here, and the wide 3" size gives lots of grip.

It’s like Duct Tape, but so much more forgiving. I dunno if I can go back 🤣The no residue thing is key - I can apply and reapply without leaving messy/tacky residue on the surface. It’s thick like duct tape, but it melts on the surface, so you might can see the seam, but you aren’t bothered by it. It cuts super easily with exact knife and scissors. And it doesn’t leave sticky residue on my scissors or blades! 🥹At first I was not using it right, so it was a bit frustrating cuz it is elastic. I would get wavy pieces that were stretched out like cling wrap. Then I watched a video and haven’t looked back since. The hack is to pull it out slow and evenly. Recommend you peel off a piece (about 1/4 to 1/2 inch is all you need), and stick it to a solid surface that ain’t going no where. Now pull straight …. at an angle if you must, but closer to horizontal, the better. I stuck my fingers in the holes of the roll and let tugged slow and evenly. If you are using it for short (under a yard) pieces, you can set up your product next to the tape (like when you’re gift wrapping) to figure out how much you need and (give it a bit), and cut it at the appropriate length. If you cut it when it’s still stretched out, it might shrink a little on you… Remove it from your surface and apply it to your project. I made a Lego organizer out of one of my gajillion Amazon boxes and yogurt cups. I wanted to be able to organize legos but also pull out the containers to search for something without spilling the rest of the bricks in the other containers. I used the tape to reinforce cardboard against a grade schooler, and to line the sides of the holes so that the cups stay in place, and it covers up my hack job of cutting holes in the cardboard. In my photo I am using the counter top’s edge to get a good grip and am pulling out the tape to the length I needed for the side I was finishing. Again, so forgiving! If you mess up (because it’s not straight, you laid it at an angle…), you can peel it off without ruining the surface (with residue) or the tape (because it’s wrinkled) and reapply until you get it right.>>If you’re applying it to the mats and you need more than a yard at a time, skip the cutting but apply no more than an arms length at a time. The video I watched recommended a roller during the application to smooth out the bubbles along the way. I would still do it on a clean surface for the first application (the first mat or first foot), and on then place it to the mat so that you have a good clean beginning. Depending on your surface, this tape/adhesive is reusable and still grippy. Being able to peel and reapply until I got it just right has spoilt me rotten. The price looks more expensive than duct tape - but not if you take into account the width and overall surface area you’re getting. Also consider that you’re doing half the work because you don’t have to worry about a second pass. And the scissors and knives you don’t have to clean.Back to making more shtufff with my Amazon boxes 🤘
