I purchased these splinter removers and it worked wonders! I was able to remove my splinter easily and it didn't hurt at all! Unlike other junky or flimsy ones that bend while you're trying to remove the splinter, this splinter remover worked in seconds and remained sharp. I'm really happy with my purchase!

My initial though upon opening one of these little packages was "Hold on, it's just a pointy metal stick! I could just keep using a needle for this," but upon further reflection, I have to admit it's a pretty ingenious idea: I mean, how often do you have a needle AND a means to sterilize it when you're out and about among the splinters? By keeping one of these three tiny boxes in your first-aid kit (and maybe one in your car and one in your travell bag), you now have 30 perfectly sterile needles at your disposal whenever you need it. Is it a revolutionary new way to remove a splinter? Not at all. But is it an incredibly convenient package of 90 individually wrapped tried-and-true solutions? Absolutely.

The Splinter Aid splinter removers are simply designed and easy to use. They are designed exactly like the brand I am used to (Splinter Out) and priced similarly ($.22 per unit vs. $.20 per unit for Splinter Out).These have a very fine tip on them suitable for the most precise splinter removal. Once I'm finished with it I like to put it back in the paper wrapper and drop it in the trash just so I don't have an exposed pointy item in the trash no matter how small it may be.
