As far as build quality it's amazing!! But it did not fit the DW7000 double pedal. Will be trying the retro fit for other brands to see if that works.

This is the best possible shaft and linkage, I think it is very important for achieving zero latency and crisp response, it’s a really great improvement for my dw3000 pedals .

It works on DW 9,000 & 5,000 'S & 3000's Only! Not worth it on lower lines DW pedals! AND DON'T fit some lower lines DW's! Very strong & light! Does make the pedals more even & precise! SMOOTH! NICE! It is as Good as it Gets !!! Can't go Wrong !!!

Everything the other reviews say is true. I’m not sure why I waited years to buy this for my DW 9000.The secondary pedal now feels just like the primary pedal. Zero lag, zero slop, equal power.If you’re wondering whether or not your current pedal has slop, do this test:Hold the cam of your secondary pedal still. Now, take your other hand and try to move the associated beater. On most double pedals, you’ll notice the beater wiggles about 1/4” to 1/2” back and forth while you’re holding the secondary cam still. With this drive shaft there is zero movement from the beater without moving the cam as well. That means as close to 100% energy transfer as you can get.Do your double-bass drumming a favor and pick this up.

This drive shaft absolutely feels like a primary pedal. No lag. The slave transfers power to the drum. Really glad I bought it.

You have to feel this to believe the difference in the universal shafts. Other have said it's like playing the same pedal on both sides. it's true. I've had to get used to how smooth and quick it is, and pay attention to my double pedal parts as it takes so little effort now on the slave pedal. And it actually RAISED the footboard about half an inch there was so much slop in the old shaft joints. I had to adjust the chain and lower it a bit. :-)Look, if you spent the $600+ on the DW90002s, then get these to realize what they SHOULD have been!You won't be sorry.

So I bought this as a replacement for an old dw 9000 drive shaft which had become squeaky and kind of stiff. I was also never really happy with the responsiveness of the slave pedal. After putting this trick shaft on, instantly I could notice the response improvement and the smoothness of the pedal increased markedly. This thing rules. Makes my old 9000 play like new again and I’ve noticed my speed increased as well. This is well worth the price and is a noticeable upgrade over the stock dw drive shaft.
