I did not have a heat gun but do have a gas stove. I carefully spun my salve tins with the plastic bands above the flame and it worked VERY well. Adds a professional touch to my homemade products. I also cut some down for a smaller bottle and overlapped the end and with a few trials it worked well and shrunk together. When the heat hits the plastic, it immediately shrinks, so pay attention or you'll burn a hole thought the plastic.

These food safety seals pucker up around the top and do not seal well. They slip very easily off glass jars. Returning.
