this stove is the large (extra large) size, and it lights very easily, and its easy to dump little handfulls of sticks right down into it. The fire can get pretty hot on this stove. This titanium one is fairly light, but still a touch heavy.Pros: big stove, fairly light for the titanium oneCons: very expensive, perhaps kinda too much stove, especially for one person, or 2 people. for that I would go with the LF version, unless using a big pot for cooking for more than a few people, then you would want this one. This stove does warp a bit, on the feet, where they tend to splay out after burning the first fire in it. the bottom plate can fall down because of this, but you kinda just push them back in. doesnt happen all the time, but it can happen.Personally I think bushbox could imporve this setup by adding legs on the other sides as well, instead of just the 2 sides, that way they could be held together by rings going down the legs, and eliminated the legs from splaying out. it would also greatly add stability. Then the set would be top class. Not sure why they hadnt done that or did it after release, but anyways....

Having already purchased the large titanium version of this stove, the I was surprised at the massive size difference with the XL. The light weight, structure, and superior quality is the same. This will be an outstanding stove for the cooler months because of just how much wood can be used; it will be akin to a small fire. With some creative use of a space blanket and some stakes, I think it will provide plenty of warmth. Just as my last purchase, the customer service at Bushcraft Essentials is outstanding. They are quick to reply to questions with efficient and accurate answers.

I had originally bought the large Firebox stove however I returned it immediately as the Firebox and the accessories that went with it (the large one) was over 2 lbs.I also own the Solo Stove Titan with its matching pot. I like the solo stove however it is way too big to carry in a backpackNow on to this. After reviewing various Youtube videos on this product I decided to buy it. Even though it is expensive it is well worth the money. I have cooked large steaks on it with the large grill that can be purchased separately.I have also been able to cook mac and cheese on it using a 14cm zebra pot.The things I truly like about this is that you can continue to feed wood (fuel) into this from the side unlike the solo titan which requires the removal of the pot to ad more wood to it.Also this is very lightweight and is easy to carry as it folds flat. Finally since this is titanium it is lightweight and cools very quickly when done cooking. This is in my backpack and goes with me now on my camping/backpacking adventures.

Excellent hobo stove, turns wood into ashes. Very thorough burn and energy efficient. For $200 CAD cannot go wrong.I like this design much better than the Firebox because of the symmetry and ease of deployment and collapsing. Titanium is the way to go for anyone doing long distance hiking where weight savings is important. This stove will easily provide for two hikers' needs. No warping of any kind from the few times I've used it, there will obviously be discoloration of the metal but if you are going to use it expect that to happen, but the soot is quite easy to clean off. Just rinse in water and wipe off with your handsI would prefer if the loading window had a door that can be closed, this will help concentrate the fire upwards rather than coming out the side, maybe in the next generation they can improve that.

Lite weight easy to use and efficient. I like the fact it is square and folds down so thin, which makes it easy to pack. It is strong enough to hold any pot that you would be carrying in a pack yet it works really well with a canteen cup as well. No doubt it is expensive, but after 5 miles down the trail you’ll be thanking yourself for buying it. No to mention because of its great quality it will outlive most all other wood stoves in its class.

I was not sure how I would feel about this item. i prefer to cook on camp fire but mostly have to do gas, or alcohol due to hiking many miles. I was looking for a happy medium . I didnt find it. I found a happy high instead. This stove is amazing. I own just about every kind of stove there is for out there. The best test I had was on top of a mountain in pouring rain and sustained 15 -20 mph winds. I woke up to that mess. My coffee was still ready in 5 minutes end of story.... Its not super light weight however still very light and its performance and weight now makes it a topper on my gear list. very well built. I was also suprised how well it warmed me up instead of a campfire before hitting the rack.
