The RazorSafe System merges surgical performance in the convenience of a hunting knife, for a family of razor sharp and strong, replacement blade hunting knives available, with blades that change safely and easily at the push of a button. The black-oxide coated blade holder supports the razor-blade for the strength of a traditional knife and sharpness of a surgeon’s scalpel. Japanese 420J2 Stainless Steel blades are precisely heat treated, and hand finished to a shaving sharp edge. When the blade goes dull, simply push the blade release button, and insert a new one into the black oxide coated 420J2 stainless steel blade holder designed to deliver the strength of a traditional knife.

I used this side by side with a Havalon while processing several deer. The Havalon broke, or the blade came of several times while this one never had an issue. The blade exhange system is fail proof and easy when the knife is clean, I recommend using pliers (gerber) when it has animal fat and hair all over it as a safety precaution. The price is incredible PLUS you can swap out 5 different types of blades, AND the refills are inexpensive. I process 4 whitetail with this knife (even around bone) and only changed blades twice. Absolutely a must have for me.

I'm not a hunter, but I bought this for a hunter's gift. HE LOVED IT! He said it was super sharp and also appreciated the fact that with this knife, he can simply change out the blades vs. having to sharpen it. It is now his go-to in the field.

Very sharp, be careful handling it. Love the gut hook combined with knife blade. Skinned 170# 8 point buck with plenty of sharp blade left to do more.

I'm really impressed with this product! I love it so much that I'm considering getting the larger size as well. The sharp blades are fantastic, and it's great that it comes with several extra ones. These knives are amazing because they stay razor sharp, and when they do get dull, you can just toss the blade and replace it with a new one. Plus, the extra blades are quite affordable. I use it for deer hunting, it’s great for field dressing.

I got this knife for my dad a couple of years ago and he still uses it to this day! It stays on his hip and I don't think I'd see him use any other knife in the rest of his life. The blades, while they are replaceable, are pretty resilient! They hold up to quite a bit and are hold their edge for a while! So replacing them isn't something you have to do very often! And, even if the blade is dull (but not chipped and damaged), you could easily strop them back to life! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

Very small and sharp blades. Awesome that several extra blades comes included. I use this for a completely different purpose than it was designed for: opening packages and that it does excellently well.
