I purchased the cover so that I would protect my backpack while traveling with the airlines. While across the country, I purchased additional items which then took two of us to stuff the oversized pack into the cover/bag. Through brute force we eventually were able to zip the bulging backpack back into the bag. To my surprise the bag took the abuse and the zippers too made it home.

Like the other reviewer said this listing is for medium not large (which is was I wanted and my two separate orders both came as mediums). Somewhere on the listing or the email invoice you get, there is a product code which is for the medium.Kept my gossamer gear mariposa 60ltr and a relatives osprey 65ltr women's rucksack safe for multiple flights and coach journeys (each bag had one of these air covers). It made of a really strong/thick ripstop so I had no worries about scraping it on sharp rocks when it was covering 16kg rucksacks.worked well for keeping the rain off the rucksacks but water can pool at the bottom as there isn't a drain hole like some other rain covers have.it's not shaped for my mariposa at all as that bags has an unconventional shape but it fit on there with a little struggle (it slides off the top letting some water in at the top but all raincovers doe that on that bag and isn't the osprey aircovers fault). thought this was worth noting if you dont have an osprey rucksack.One way osprey could improve it is by putting attachment points for putting a shoulder strap on it for when it completely covering your rucksack.Osprey make another simular item to this at a simular price which doesn't convert into a raincover and is just a bag for traveling, that has a shoulder strap so why can't this.Definitely worth the money to protect your bag and you don't need to take a separate raincover for thru hikes.

This medium AirCover only fits bags 40-60L, not 65-75L as stated on the Osprey site as of Jul 2024. Had to return and order the different size. Seems like a great bag.

Bought this for a high adventure trip that involved air travel and hiking. This made it thru well. Didn’t need to test it as a rain cover. Rather mostly to get thru airports. Worked exactly as advertised. Durable, and could open for the straps to be accessible. Not much room to spare but you could get a few more things in there with the pack. Overall very pleased.

I’m so happy I brought this on my 6-week trip, during which I had 9 flight legs. It’s nice and heavy and shows no signs of wear. It is a bit bulky when not in use so it takes some space, but worth it for me.

Kann nur Gutes über das Cover berichten. Habe es zusammen mit einem Osprey Rucksack für einen 3-wöchigen Japanurlaub gekauft und dort genutzt. Cover hat diese drei Wochen tadellos überstanden. Rucksack wurde durch das Cover gut abgedeckt und es hat mir ausreichend Platz geboten, um zusätzliches Gepäck zwischen Cover und Rucksack für den Rückflug zu verstauen.

This does not have the thick, bulky shoulder strap that the Airporter has. That thing is huge to make room for while traveling. The pack cover looks like a usable rain cover for your pack. Large is needed for an Osprey Aether Plus 70. A little roomy, but the medium barely fits the pack on the sides without the removable brain/ daypack. This would mean you cannot ditch your raincover at home when you are traveling with this. If you don't care about the raincover function you can remove the day pack as your carry on and the medium will just fit this pack. The many holes in my Aether indicate without a cover you will be stitching up your expensive pack after checking it at the airport.

The cover is really good, rip stop material, doubles as a rain cover etc.However this listing is a bit borked. It’s actually for the medium size - the page title says large but then confirmation emails said medium and a medium arrived (40-60L).Thankfully it fits my kestrel 68L perfectly as the Kestrel is short and fat, otherwise would have been a return job!
