I needed some faux molding to use for mounting LED strips so that they would cast towards the ceiling, and these worked just fine! I'm renting so I mounted mine with command strips, and so far haven't had any issues with them loosening or falling off. They're pretty firm but flexible enough to bend around curves. They cut pretty easily with a small hand saw, and also sand pretty easily, so power tools aren't required! They should work for just about anyone's needs.

These are great and look like wood. This particular molding is smaller then it seems in the picture. Easy to put up and fairly easy to cut and paint.
