Incredible quality, very heavy construction. I recommend 2 people for easy installation.

Perfect for repairing loose fence post. I just recommend using heavy mallet, about 1 pound or more for driving this metal underground.

Note: I copied & pasted this review from another product that I feel exactly the same way about and used for the same purposes.Only difference is the pricing. This product is about $6 more expensive than the other and that can be a major selling point. Here is the pasted part:Note: I ordered these to hold up my 4x4 posts for my custom tomato trellis, this is not the intended use. That said, these are total overkill for my particular use case, and I could not be happier. They have no problem holding up posts under these conditions, at least I did have any problems, but we will see when I use them again next spring.Got these, a couple 4x4 that cost way too much, some of those metal wire holder things they use on wire guard rails and some string. Boom, custom trellis and upright tomato plants like no other! not to mention you gain all the ground around the tom plants back to plant other companion plants. So, while my use case may be out of the norm, I can say for sure I am happy with this product, and it worked well for my intentions.I pulled them in for the winter, so I cannot speak to how they hold up to that yet. However, when they go back out, unless we move or something, they will be staying in whatever location permanently I guess you would call it, lol.So long as it does not tip over while supporting my plants, all is good. And I do not see a real reason for that to happen unless we get like, a tornado or something out of the norm. I live in Wisconsin so, I think I'm good for the most part. I think it is just our winters to worry about.Recommended so far as I can tell.

I requested and received “for free” this set of 4 CKLT One-Piece Fence Post Repair Anchors to test and give my honest opinion. I ALMOST finished doing a complete rebuild on my 12 year old LARGE POOL DECK.... Boy I could have used these! I had one 4x4 that was somewhat loose and I wanted to brace it and not completely taking apart all the "still great" railing and joists around it. I ended up digging a hole on the outside area, making a mold and pouring a concrete pad and then attaching another 4x4 to the outside. Would have been much easier if I had one of these hammered into the soil and attached directly to the problem 4x4... When the Spring comes my wife wants to add a completely new set of stairs and I am certain I will be using these to strengthen the original deck joist framework with new 4x4s and these post anchors. GREAT HEAVY CONSTRUCTION, SOLID NICE WELDS AND PERFECT FINISH..Ordering as a Vine member does not mean I’m getting "free products".. Between my time for testing the product, doing an honest review and the FEDERAL AND STATE INCOME TAXES I am liable for because I am "receiving items of value in lieu of wages" that are based on the LIST PRICE with no coupons allowed to be used, there is a real cost to these items "paid for" by me. Since most of the items offered to VINE Member are Brand New to the market, never on the market before, MANY TIMES the price drops or coupons become available to every Amazon buyer a week or so after VINE Members orders them at FULL LIST PRICE. This really affects any cost savings VINE Members may end up with... So far I have been having a great time "doing my VINE job", and I hope to continue doing it for quite some time....

I live where wind is hard on wood fences. I bought a home that had a fence with wood fence posts that broke at ground level. These heavy metal reinforcers are 3/32 inch thick and each side is sufficiently wide. These stakes have strong welds and have a good coat of paint. The pad where these stakes are pounded into the ground are thick to allow substantial pounding into hard soil. There are two issues that I see with the use of these reinforcing stakes. It is common for fence posts to have cement at the base, in the ground. The offset is not wide enough for me to use where my posts broke off. Because of this, I will have to mount a 2 x 4 piece of wood behind my pickets and attach it to the rails. Then I will be able to secure each stake to the fence. The other issue that I see is that the lag bolts that came with this set are too short to have much penetration into the wood. I will use longer bolts. Bolts into wood have a tendency to back out.Even though I cannot use these as designed because my posts are mounted in cement, I appreciate the usefullness of these stakes that will allow me to delay the expence of replacing my fence. Their usefulness is worth the cost. Time will tell if the bottom of the stakes were suffiently long enough to endure my windy location.

Worked well in securing mailbox post instead of paying as much to have it completely removed and replaced. We ordered another set to secure some otherposts in the yard.
