The thin-walled insert ring (up to 0.3 mm thick), with an oval protrusion that locates in the ear space, bridges the ear gap and ensures almost uniform compression around the whole circumference of a clamp. Clamp diameter The following applies as a guideline: To determine the correct clamp diameter, push the hose onto the attaching material, (e.g. the nipple), and then measure the outer diameter of the hose. The value of the outer diameter must be slightly above the average value of the diameter range of the clamp to be selected. The listed size of the clamp denotes the inner diameter (id) of the clamp. How to Install These clamps can be easily installed using Oetiker Hand Installation Pincers (HIP). The HIP tools have been designed especially for pinching ear clamps quickly and easily. Label on the plastic bag clearly shows correct part # 15400016, but actual item inside was 7mm Clamps 15400017?At the time of order (Nov 21 2018) price for Oetiker 15400016 Stainless Steel Hose Clamp (Pack of 300) was CDN$159.76, and now the very same item @ same qty is CDN$ 437.48???It seems no one is checking actual items before shipping, which doesn't leave me confidence to place another order. On the other hand, time required for order fulfillment is consumed (gone)
