Exactly what I needed to get Apple CarPlay to work in my 2016 F150. I had originally updated the software to the most recent version and it would not work with the original usb. Replacement took less than 5 minutes.

awesome. 3 minute install. Getting old usb out was difficult to get out I eventually got it. But it was in the slot pretty hard. Took alot of my energy. All good. CarPlay worked immediately. The sync 3 update was fun. Just left my phone in my truck for 3 hours. Came back. It downloaded. Sync 3 3.0 our edition we needed.Just sleep

This item worked perfectly for my 2016 F150 XLT Sport. I am now able to have CarPlay on my Sync 3 system. Installation was super easy and took less than 5 minutes. Some people have struggled with removing the old part but I recommend getting one of the cheap plastic automotive trim removal kits. I had mine removed in less than a minute. Definitely a great upgrade for the money.

Ordered this hub a week before Christmas in order to upgrade my truck to Sync 3.4 and use CarPlay. USPS lost the package, so they sent a replacement which still managed to arrive before Christmas. 5 stars to Rod Baker Ford.As for the hub, it’s an OEM ford part. Super easy to install, and works just like it should.

It works! I got apple car play on my 2016 f150 lariat. I had my sync updated to 3.0, plugged the old one out and the new one in. However It was a little tough to pop it out even with trim tools but, I highly recommend it. Definitely a step up from the standard sync software.

Installed this module in my 2016 F150 that did NOT previously have Android Auto, and now I have Android Auto! Please keep in mind that you will also need to update the software to a SYNC 3.4, which I did through Cyanlabs. Everything works perfectly now

I had a problem with Pandora losing the internet connection while driving. Installing the new hub fixed that problem and also enabled Apple Carplay. The seller was able to confirm, in less than 24 hours via email, that the Ford OEM Carplay USB Hub is compatible with my 2016 F150. I did need to update my Sync 3 software to a newer version by downloading the free update from the Ford owners website. It took just a few minutes to download the update to a usb flash drive and a few more to install the update. See the Ford owners website for the instructions, be sure to have your VIN number handy. It takes just a few minutes to pry out the old Hub and install Carplay USB Hub. There are several easy to follow YouTube videos
