This bowl is a great value for the money. The bowl is perfectly tuned to the C note and has a distinct and clear sound when either struck or sung with a mallet or suede striker. I have several gem-infused bowls of various gemstones, but what makes this bowl unique is the obsidian is pronounced on the outside of the bowl. The small obsidian pieces make the exterior rough, but I like the contrast on the bowl. It does not have a smooth finish, but I think this adds character to the bowl. Highly recommended!
