I just bought my first sewing machine & started beginner's sewing classes. I was able to fit everything that my teacher recommended for my first sewing kit in here. The little pouch is a nice touch & works perfectly to hold the button, elastic, & zipper for my current project.My grandmother had a little basket similar to this next to her sewing machine, so I had checked out the ones at Joann's. The price on this is way better! It seems to be sturdy and full of little, helpful touches and the fabric feels like it'll last for some time.The only con for me is that the colors on the pictures made it seem mostly red with some green & yellow, but it actually has quite a lot of a rather brilliant yellow (see close-up photo). I'm not really a big fan of yellow, so I wish it wasn't as prominent in the fabric.Overall, a good product, though I may go up to the larger size if I stick with sewing.

I have a bigger sewing box with 6 drawers here at home. This one is going into my camper, and i can carry everything I would need for any mending short of needing a sewing machine to do it. This is compact enough to take along easily, while also having enough little compartments to hold pins, clips, thread, needles, buttons, scissors and all kinds of other notions, too. A very nice gift idea as well.

Very well made and a great size. It has a top insert with separate compartments for small items. I got my granddaughter a sewing machine for Christmas and this will make a perfect companion to that.
