I bought two more to go along with two I have. I make sun tea most every day and these things are great. If you are careful it will open and shut with ease.--I've used for almost 2 years to make sun tea. Still works great and I ordered two more as gifts. Twice I had to get vice grips on it when it was stuck. Being careful and it opens and closes with ease.

Everything is perfect about this but trying to open to clean once it has been used. We are still satisfied with the product and the quality is good. Once it heats up while steeping tea it is almost impossible to get apart when it cools back down. I have to have my son or husband open it for me and certain loose teas you need to use a small piece of a cut coffee filter to keep the tiny tea leaf parts from coming through holes. I would still buy another if needed but may look at another product that is easier to open and clean.

As I write this, I sit with a coup of freshly brewed green tea, thanks to the Norpro Stainless Steel Tea Ball. No longer do I have to settle for tea that has had its flavor filtered out through little paper bags. No longer do I have to wonder how many trees died to supply my family its daily cups of tea. The skies above are brighter, the air crisper, and life more satisfying since I began using the Norpro Tea Ball. Thank you, Norpro.

I love this little tea egg! It clips onto my mug and is the perfect size for any cup. It is much easy to load with loose tea leaves than my other devices. It's really easy to clean, it locks tight, and the materials are sturdy.

I bought this tea ball because I left my other one at home when I left for college. I noticed as soon as it came that it was very difficult to take apart and put together because the lid and base were virtually the same size. The first time putting tea in it i struggled to get it together and the tea went flying. After 3 uses the ball got stuck together. Trying to open it I sliced my finger open on the sharp metal lip. I would just make the investment to buy something a bit nicer than this or you will regret it too.

Before buying this ball I read the reviews and took my chances. I am so glad I did. Most seem to find this ball hard to open. I was worried and when I received it, it took sometime for me to open. For some reason I had the idea to spray cooking oil on it and just like that it opened. Some also spoke about bits of tea getting in the cup, it happens but not so much and it really depends on the tea. I tend to drink teas that expand so not much of a problem here...The shipping was pretty long, I guess it ships from China like almost everything else but I got free shipping so I didn't worry.

I've only had this tea infuser for two days but so far I've had no problems. It's a very good size for a small pot(which is what I got it for) or a large mug. The holes don't seem too big to me although I could see some potential for problems if you are using a tea with incredible small pieces. I think if you were using a tea that fine you'd likely run into some problems even with some of the mesh infusers I've used in the past. So far I've made several pots of tea and have had no problems opening and closing it. I plan on getting another one or two. The reasons I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the metal feels a little flimsy. The chain also feels a little short but I'm having no problems with it in my pot(the lid holds it in place) and it does have a little hook on the end that I'm assuming is meant to hook onto a cup handle.EDIT: Over a year and it is still holding up and serving well. Still feels flimsy but it hasn't broken yet and we've certaintly gotten plenty of use out of it.
