Title should say it all, it's a battery case, it holds two batteries lol and it does a superb job at housing two sealed 8d AMG batteries!!! I dont know what else more to say. But I do recommend this product for the pricepoint and value of the product. Because the box is black, try to chose a location out of the sun. I only feel save using sealed batteries in a compartment like this to minimize risk of gas leak and explosion.

I mounted this box elevated 4 inches above grade and sealed the two holes in the middle of the lid, but this box is so poorly designed that water also comes in through the slots used for the two threaded knobs that hold the lid on. After 1 moderate rain my batteries, charge controller, and power distribution block are all in 3 inches of collected water. This enclosure is not suitable for any use other then preventing casual interaction with the batteries and can only be used in a fully protected location.

A nice box for under $70 as was my purchase (on sale)... I don't agree it is worth double that money...you must take care when loading the 8D batteries to avoid structural damage to this box...

This thing is great. I'm using it on my boat to house to 8D's for my inverter. Works like a charm and fits nicely. Well made. I did expect it to be a little more rigid, however it's good enough for my use.

As I understood before the purchase, this box it is designed for 8D sealed batteries. No vents because it contains sealed gas less batteries. Go figure I love it and fits well in my Toyhauler garage. I have a 700 watt solar unit sending all the power I need for unit. Even pulled my Onan generator out for more Batteries.
