This is a robust charger. It feels solid and has a substantial base size, much sturdier than the original Motorola single base charger. Placing the radio in the base, there is a positive feel that hold the radio perfectly in place. The smart intelligent charger recognized my battery was already fully charged and immediately turned green, indicating fully charged. I left the radio on for a few hours and charged it, and the LED turned red as it was charging. It charged to full pretty quickly. Overall this is a great alternative to the OEM Motorola charger that costs over three times as much!
