I purchased and enjoyed the Nitze cage for the indie 7 and had always wished for a version for my indie 5...my wish came true! Love that it comes with a hood that mounts directly to the cage. I wish the hood had a bottom flap to prevent reflections from the ground but you can solve that with a couple strips of gaff. Solid build.

The fact that this cage can be purchased for significantly less than the 5 Series monitor hood makes it a no-brainer investment. Its sleek and robust design adds a plethora of mounting options. I use the cage with my Cine 5, and it not only looks incredibly cool but also provides protection from accidental falls. For the price and added benefits, this cage is an absolute must-have for a serious filmmaker.
