Thought I'd take a chance on a replica Wilcox. Glad I did, works great with no issues. There is a lock button on the mount that has to be depressed to swing up which is a pain when you have a rifle at the ready. So I simply swing my PVS14 to the side. I still prefer the Rhino II since it can be swung over your helmet with no button to mess with plus the Rhino II can swing all the way over the top of your helmet whereas the Wilcox clone just swings up but tot over. The plus with the Wilcox replica is it lets you use a dovetail shoe whereas the Rhino II requires an adapter at $75-$100 to convert to dovetail.

Sturdiness is alright, might have to tighten bolts a lil bit here and there. The color is more bronze compared to the Wilcox. When you rotate the mount down to nvg mode it clips on great. Adjustable eye height, length if you have glasses and etc. When you try to clip on the nvgs you have to put it in a specific position where it locks, unlike the Wilcox it clips easily and holds it. I loosened a few bolts while i was trying to put it in that specific position but overall it’s good. I’d say it’s the money’s worth other than buying a 500 dollar mount.

The value here is fantastic. I run my pvs14 on this and it works amazing. I cant imagine spending 5 times more on the exact same thing. Some would argue that would you really trust a several thousand dollar investment on something thats cheaper?Yes, because even if it was a $500 dollar one id be running a bungee cord attached to the nods anyway for extra security. You could argue the same on plenty of different things. You want to charge your $1000 phone using a knockoff 15 dollar charger and cable? why not buy the OEM $60 dollar one for sound of mind. I disagree with that mentality.Spend your money smartly, use the savings for ammo. I recommend this 100%

For a fraction of the price of what it’s imitating. This mount works amazing. There is some wobble, but if you know what you’re doing you can almost eliminate it entirely. Finish could be a little smoother but still good quality all throughout.

If you hold a genuine Wilcox side by side with this, you’ll notice a few minor cosmetic differences, and I’m sure the materials aren’t as high quality on this replica. Having said that, it fits every mount I’ve tried it on solidly with no slop or rattle. I abused it to see if I could get it to fail too. I dropped it from 6ft onto sold flooring, hit it with a mallet, and wrenched on it with a very good amount of force. It never budged. I’m confident enough with it and a couple of secondary retention bungees that I run duals with it. If you want something that works without paying $500 this unit is a great choice.

These are great if you have an old or cheap set of NVG’s to use as a loaner for friends but I wouldn’t trust my binos with them. The dovetail release latch doesn’t release easily, you really have to work for it, which is good if you never plan on removing your NVG’s quickly or on the go. Buy with caution.
