We couldn’t figure out why our system wasn’t working correctly, bought this and plugged it into DVR and it worked immediately to fixed the problem.

Update: Have purchased 2 of these previously and both only lasted 2 years.The original 12-volt 4-way split camera power supply included with my Night Owl DVR system worked good for about 4 yr. but then the cameras began getting flickering horizontal lines in the video. Replacing it with one of these fixed the issue. Been using for weeks continuous so far - no issues.

It worked great for 6 months and I’m having the same issues again. Cameras are cutting in and out.

I would never buy night owl products again but this is at least a bandaid until the whole thing quits entirely. I had to send the dvr back because of a horrible noise it was making. Got it back and it started doing it again. I wound up taking the cover off, removing the fan (which was the noisy culprit) and leaving the cover off so it didn't get hot. Then one of the 4 cameras stopped showing up but which one changed on a daily basis. I figured it had to be something in part of the wiring so replaced the 4 way splitter part and that didn't work so I switched the power adapter part and that turned out to be it. So our night owl system will live another day but I'm just waiting for the day it dies completely so I can replace the whole system with something more reliable. It has helped us with multiple shoplifters but it just isn't solid enough to trust long term.

I purchased this Night Owl security camera power adapter to power a fifth security camera for a system I purchased here on Amazon. The charger comes in a labeled bag and is easy to plug in and get working. I didn't have any problems with it, and it powered my camera without issue. Its been running for three weeks without issue.
