After acquiring my 1965 British Seagull forty plus, I replaced a few of the bits and needed a new spark plug. The original called for aN 18mm Champion 8-COM which is no longer made. After researching forums, this NGK came up again and again. Local auto parts store didn’t have it in stock, got this from Amazon in two days for about the same price, was puttering around the harbor immediately. Had to adjust the gap for the forty plus, but no problems. Fires up immediately. Will get more as I need them.

If one restores or still uses old Caterpillar engines that use the pony motor for starting, this is the plug for the pony. It will outlast any others on the market and will deliver a good spark even when the engine is flooded. You can't do better than this plug.
