Great solid tripod. Spent a little extra to get zoom and lens flexibility. Should have been satisfied with great solid tripod. That's what you'll get. Color me & take a photo of disappointed. iPhone 14 Pro. iOS 18.3.1

The phone holder is flemsy and weak at hold the phone steady. The holder will slide down or to the side depending on orientation. Would have been better if the holder was a standard thread to connect your desired holder. The bluetooth camera button is nice to have.

I want a stick for two reasons: a) to stabilize my shots as it’s a good ballast, and b) to let me zoom smoothly in and out without touching the screen. The tripod is great as a ballast. The remote is good for triggering shots but it does not work for zoom. The user manual walks you through a procedure for enabling assistive devices, it’s a hack but could work. Unfortunately this only means that there is a grey dot that moves back and forth on your screen. It doesn’t actually engage the zoom by itself. Twice out of five or six times I was able to engage the remote zoom by also putting fingers on the screen – which means the remote is useless.

I'm really happy with this little tripod, it's amazing how tall it can extend from such a compact unit. The cell phone clip is nice and secure, I have to have my phone offset quite a bit because of where the buttons on the phone are, but it still holds it very nicely.I think the detachable remote is EXCEPTIONAL! I've tried a few devices that have remote shutters, but this one is the BEST by far! first of all, it's rechargeable! that's a huge plus! Most are not rechargeable, you need an expensive battery, but worse than that, you have to wait until you have a chance to buy the battery. Everyone has USB chargers, so when the battery gets low, just plug it in and recharge it, it's very convenient! The remote also has a + and - button on it, and with my phone, they zoom in and zoom out, how cool is that? zooming without touching the phone! I have NEVER seen this zoom feature on any Bluetooth remote shutters. I also love how the remote shutter stores nicely on the handle, so you can use it right from the handle if you are using it as a selfie stick, or you can detach it if you are using it as a tripod, and it's great that there's a place right on the tripod to store it so you will actually know where it is when you want to use it. The remote shutter was also super easy to pair with my phone.I find the tripod very stable and super easy to adjust, I pretty much just put it where I want it and it says there. There is a bit of flexibility with how you can tilt and turn the phone holder on the end, and that make getting what you want in the frame easy to achieve. It's so nice to have a tripod that isn't huge and bulky yet can still stand on the floor and get up to eye level, and when it's folded up it stays in a nice compact little package, the tripod legs snap in securely and it holds itself together very well.

As a beginning content creator of how-to videos, I needed something that would allow me to set up my phone to do recordings that would permit both of my hands to be free. I have tried various solutions but all had major limitations. When I first saw this Newmowa Phone Remote Selfie Stick it looked to me to perhaps be the answer to my needs and, happy to say, it is! At full extension, the camera mounts about 52” high (4’4”; see Cons, below). For most of my use I have it set on a tabletop or workbench with very little height added. It holds my iPhone 15 Pro Max very well, even with it in its case; same for my 6S Plus. The tripod gives me a lot of stability at short extensions, and the head pivots and swivels to allow me to get whatever mode (landscape or portrait) or tilt angle I need or desire. The tripod opens and closes very quickly, and looks to be well made. One big bonus is the detachable shutter remote, which really makes taking photos or videos a snap. You do have to switch between photo and video mode yourself (the remote will not do this), but it does allow you to switch between forward or back facing cameras, and to control zooming if so desired. Once collapsed it is small enough to fit in a purse, a backpack, or even my back pocket, and it is very light. As far as a selfie stick goes, my first thought was “I don’t need that, I don’t take selfies!”, but now having this tool I have used it (coupled with the remote camera switch) to photograph areas I cannot get to easily, like under my car and RV. At a reach of 50+ inches, you can really get at remote places. Granted, it would be nice to see what I am photographing but this works great when I cannot. I will find some other uses for it I am sure.My only cons, which are really true for almost all items of this type, is at full extension they are top heavy with a phone installed. The tripod actually tipped over forward and I caught it before it crashed into the ground. Since I rarely use it at full extension this is not a big issue, but I carry a zipper storage bag with dried beans which makes a great foot weight for when I do need it at full extension.Overall I really like this tripod/selfie stick. Even though it is a bit pricey, it fits and addresses a need that other such items don’t do as well. I do wish it came with a carry case/bag; I am using zippered canvas case I had lying around, but it would have been nice if something had ben provided.
