Any pressure on the buttons and they snap open. It really sucks because the rest of it is good quality. I'm thinking of taking the buttons off and replacing it with a zipper. Oversell a good buy though. We got it just for Christmas pictures. The material is too heavy for where we live to just wear. If you plan to use this for more daily use then replace the buttons with a zipper and it will be great. The collar is also a bit low but that's due to the fabric not being very stretchy so the baby can get their head through.
