This helped us tremendously while camping off grid. We have a pretty sizeable generator that only has two 110 outlets. This allowed us to expand the amount of outlets we could use to charge our electric bikes outdoors. Our RV is 50 amp due to the two AC units so it didn't hinder us from using the 30 amp outlet on the generator for this purpose. I would recommend this adapter if it fits your situation.

Our smaller generator doesn't have a lot of plus on it, despite it putting out a full 30 amps. I prefer not to run too many things off of one 20 amp plug, plus i'd run out of power on that breaker before the generator ran out of power. This lets me run things on the 30 amp circuit, which means i can use the full output of my generator, even though none of my 120v items will pull that much power by themselves.As expected, there were no problems plugging this in, or using it at all, no electrical noise or heat.

Last spring we had some pretty bad storms. One had the electricity out for over 13 hours. That's when I broke out the generator to keep the fridge and garage freezer among other things running.The WYM world 30 Amp to 110 generator adapter has a NEMA L5-30P Male plug and adapts this one plug into three 20 Amp regular plugs. This allows the use of the twist plug to be used to power ordinary house plugs. This is a very well built adapter using heavy duty 10 gauge copper wire and even has a lighted plug so you know when it's hot.If you have a NEMA L5-30P plug this adapter is a must have.
