Got this so I could plug something else into my pool plug when I'm not using it for the filter. It works as expected - fits the 20v plug for my pool filter and carries power.

The adapter uses 12 awg wiring, but the jacket is only rated for 60 degrees C (verses some that are rated for 75 degrees C). This makes the cable more flexible, but it also makes it less durable to wear and tear.For a new product, the 5-15/20 receptacle felt very loose when plugging in various devices like some phone chargers and a three prong extension cord. Receptacles only get looser as they age and wear out, so I am not sure how much use I'll get out of it before it feels unsafe to use. The L5-20 plug doesn't mate well with an adapter that I have with a L5-20 outlet, and I wasn't able to test it with a in-wall receptacle.I might trust this adapter for light duty work, but I definitely wouldn't trust this on a construction site or during a mission critical event.

Safety first- ETL Listed. Appears well made, cord is nice and flexible.Couple of nice fixtures:The twist-lock plug has little bumps on the side to help twist it into the outlet. This is a neat feature I've never seen on this type of plug before. The connector end has clear overmold with a light inside to indicate when power is on.One oddity- the small tag attached to it says "FOR RV USE ONLY" I'm ignoring this as I can see no need for this restriction.

I ordered this to increase the amount of plugs I can use in my company's data centers. We have L5-20's all over. I'm talking hundreds per office, but we only have a handful of 5-15's that are usually populated by other equipment.Quality on the plug is good. The connectors are solid, the molded plugs are nice, the 5-15/20r end lights up so you know its powered, and mine is 13.5" end to end.There is one big issue... If you're using an extension cord, or piece of equipment, where one blade is larger than the other it will not work on this adapter. Both blade slots on the 5-20r end are the size of the smaller blade. Check your plugs before you order this adapter. Had I known this prior to my order I probably would have chosen another adapter.

This is long enough to provide some flex between the two ends but not long enough to take up extra space in your bag - perfect for an adapter.Both ends are well made connectors with strain relief -The 15/20A receptical does have an issue with polarized plugs (one blade wider than the other) but this hasn't been an issue for me yet.Twist lock end locks like it should and allows using tools directly with the twist extensions I have as well as directly off the twist connections on my generator.Nice adapter and works fine

I’ve been looking for something like this for a while as the need to run cord from this central location USCG big help. I use this to power lights for shrimping in Florida and there isn’t much source power, this is definitely going to make some lives easier

-===1/16/2025 -Just an update: but the merchant told me the tag for -RV Use only-, is not applicable to this product, it can be used for generator use, or other devices that accept a NEMA L5-20P-===Great product, the lit when plugged in is always a nice feature to have. Plugs in firmly and locks nicely.The only abnormal aspect is that the warning tag that says for RV use only, which is a bit head shaking. I did however reach out to the seller to get the reason that this warning tag has that specification. If the merchant replies back, I'll update this review as to why.

The fittings on this adapter provide a good connection without any play. Once plugged in they stayed put, so it worked well for me, so I didn't need to buy another cable. I plugged this in, gave it a little twist, then used the other big extension cable I have.
