Now I can mount my accessories to my R50 and turn my camera into a studio and professional video editing rig. A dummy battery and V mount battery, a cooling fan, a rail, top handle mount LED screen and all. Perfect combo to keep using the R50. Great great great. Make sure the unit is perfectly in place or your battery plate will stick. No problem. Get a dummy battery and a 256gb memory card and shoot all day. I love this.

I absolutely loved my Canon R50, but absolutely hated how small it felt in my hands. This cage drastically improves how the R50 feels in hand. Absolutely wonderful purchase, taking away the only thing I hated about my camera.

Ιt is quite sturdy and solid, and in my case, I have a heavy lens and with the addition of the cage on the Canon R50, I have better control in my hands. The installation is very easy and quick.

Recentemente ho acquistato una Canon R50 come prima fotocamera e nonostante abbia le mani piccole ho sempre avuto una leggera difficoltà nell'impugatura, ma con questo cage il problema svanisce.La differenza di peso con/senza gabbia si sente poco ma la cosa importante è il feeling che risulta premium, non come certe plastiche che si trovano altrove.Inoltre fornisce l'aggancio per ulteriori accessori MOLTO utili al fine di progredire nel mondo della Video/Fotografia.Prodotto assolutamente consigliato 👍🏻

Does it’s job protecting my canon camera and keeps me from worrying about my camera then actually recording videos, that said the cage allows me to add certain accessories and still have enough space for grip and pressing all the buttons needed on the camera 10/10 cage in my opinion

I have a new R50 and while people have complained about the lack of a good grip, I never really felt the lack. I had no problems holding this.But of course, as you put larger lenses on, the story changes. And then when you get into some of the other options you can use when you have a cage like this, it really becomes a no-brainer.I grabbed this on sale, so only paid about 60% of the price, and it was a steal. I hadn't even realized at first that there was a tool stuck on the bottom of it magnetically to install and remove it.Easy to get at all the features you need even when this is on, and while I didn't have a problem with the standard lenses holding the camera without it, I'll be the first to admit it is night and day with this ON, even without a front heavy lens. Great additional grip.

I usually purchase SmallRig cages for my cameras but this Neewer cage fits better and doesn’t obstruct the buttons and dials like the SmallRig version plus it seems as well made as the SmallRig one though more of a plain design which I do prefer it doesn’t shout look at me when you are out and about. The cage makes the R50 easier to hold and adds a bit of weight which helps to stabilise the micro jitters which you can get from hand holding the camera. It’s also excellent value for money which is a bonus.

I had a Smallrig cage on my R5 but after getting the r50 I didn’t see a Smallrig cage for it and opted for this Neewer cage. Everything I’ve got from Neewer has been high quality and this cage is no different. Perfect fit on the r50 and plenty of holes for various attachments.Also bonus points for not getting in the way of my DJI RS3 mini. The cage is light enough to not throw off the gimbal and the quick release fits perfectly.

Love my R50 (the most underrated beast of a camera). Switched from the 70D & this cage fits really nicely, increased the grip (much needed, as the R50 is quite compact) & adds some protection, while not adding a ton of weight. I’m disabled & the size and weight savings has been very helpful. I recommend the R50, as well as this fantastic cage, as a combo all the time.
