Bumped with tackle box and the glass broke. Very bright. Good flood. Poor choice for glass.

The actual wattage of these lights is 16.2w at 12v, meaning they’re drawing 1.35a.I’m using these for a makeshift gig light, and I will update on the waterproof-ness once I put them to use.I’m also using one as a kayak headlight. They have a nice bright beam, this is indeed a flood beam. You could use these for side/rear lights on a vehicle without problem. Overall they work well for my needs, and are relatively cheap. They have a red and black standard wire which has been pre-tinned with solder, which is nice.

Replaced old spreaders, these were much brighter. Went with this brand, I put larger ones on my compact tractor 4 years ago, they still work great.

I purchased a total of 4 to use on our boat when night fishing. These lights are incredibly bright. Installation was simple and the quality is excellent. They can be adjusted up or down. These are definitely great value for the price!

I ordered these lights to mount on the forward edge of a hard dodger I’m building on my sailboat for illumination when entering marinas, traveling along channels or any other time the vessel is close to hazards in the dark. Such lights can be particularly useful lighting reflective surfaces on aids to navigation in channels, although a spotlight is needed to reach out to longer distances. The lights are very bright and adequate for my intended use (I have no way to measure lumens) based on bench testing I conducted on a dark night from an elevated deck rail. However it is important to understand these are flood lights with limited range, not spotlights. The light spreads rapidly both laterally and vertically so much of the illumination is wasted diffusing into the sky or into nearby water. They would be better suited to illuminating the deck from the rigging (the boat already has spreader lights). As noted I have no way to measure lumens but I did bench test to measure current, thereby calculating watts (pictured). Using a 12V power supply my meter measured 1.45 amps on both lights, which equates to 17.4 watts (P=IE); half the power listed for these lights. The lights seem to be robustly constructed and well finished. Testing of mounting hardware with a magnet evidenced negligible magnetism which is consistent with marine grade stainless steel. Note that mounting screws screw into the aluminum body so you can expect galvanic corrosion around the threads in a marine environment absent protection. Use of Tef-gel or similar products during assembly can control the problem. There is no breather valve to relieve pressure within the IP68 housing. However cooling fins are large so that may keep temperatures, hence pressures, manageable; time will tell and I’ll update this review if needed.I ran into problems attaching the mounting hardware because the screws which screw into the light body were very difficult to install. I believe this was due to finish paint which was coating the internal threads, though I can’t rule out poorly formed threads. First being careful not to cross-thread the soft aluminum body threads I spent quite a bit of time working the screws into the holes forwarding and reversing many times, as with a tap, to clear the threads. Eventually the screws screwed in fully and I was able to attach the mounting hardware (pictured). The included hex wrench was too short to be used easily so I used a long 4mm hex wrench I had on hand (a 9/64” hex wrench would probably work OK as well). These screws were a serious nuisance to install and one reason I removed a star from the rating.I believe these lights will serve well in their intended role. As noted, I’ll update this review if needed.

These were mounted on my boat for lighting the deck. The lights are flood but it's flooded the long way as the lights physical appearance. If you have your lights mounted horizontal, it will give a wide flood. Mines are mounted vertical so my lights flood vertically. I have two lights, one on each side of the boat so it helps spread the flood. Not the flood I was expecting but is ok for now.

Great value, but light is made out of metal. Which means it's slightly heavier than plastic versions.
